Grafton Dolphins

The Grafton Swim Team offers instruction for youth of all abilities aged 4 to 18. The goal of our team is to provide quality training and to promote good sportsmanship, and above all, to have fun and encourage team spirit! 

Summer swim team provides a great opportunity for children to be a part of a team, to improve their skills, and enjoy a healthy summer activity at the pool while developing a love for swimming which can be a lifelong sport which exercises your entire body! 

Meets cannot function without parent volunteers, therefore it is essential that each family volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Meets are divided into two sessions; parents or guardians are required to work a minimum of three entire meets or six sessions (each session refers to half of a swim meet). If you are a parent of a step-swimmer(s) and you do not have other children on the team, you are required to volunteer at one home swim meet this summer, and we encourage you to bring your swimmer(s) to that meet so they know what they are working towards and so they can cheer on their teammates as well!

If you have a child who is ready and willing to learn to swim but is unable to swim the length of the pool unassisted, we offer a wonderful developmental swim program called “step-swimmers” which is run by coaches and volunteers. Step-swimmers will receive approximately 30 minutes of instruction four days per week for six weeks (either 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.) Due to water safety issues, our Step Swimmers do not participate in our weekly "game days" which are typically held on Fridays. Game days are a time when teammates build camaraderie and have a lot of fun together at the pool.

• First Swimmer: $145
• Additional swimmers (same household): $120
• The Rappahannock Swim League charges a $20 fee per swimmer.
• Since Grafton is a private pool, there is an additional nonmember fee of $50 for the first and $25 each additional swimmer with a max of $100 per family if you are not a member of Grafton Pool. You may choose to join Grafton Pool at any time to avoid the nonmember fee. Payment may be made during registration.
• Swim team sponsorships ensure that registration fees remain affordable to all who wish to swim for our team. Swim team families who secure a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum level sponsorship for our team will receive a $25 discount or refund on their families' membership payment.
